Surry Hills Spring Tasting Trail: Alchemy
We were proud to be part of the Surry Hills Festival 2018 Creative Trails programme. They kindly invited us to create a dining walk that included six restaurants from the Devonshire and Crown Street precinct.
Alchemy located on the corner of Crown and Devonshire Streets, is set in a cosy and elegant yet unpretentious dining room known for its menu of delicate meals made in the traditional Polish way. The restaurant is famous for its freshly-made traditional Polish dumplings (pierogi), goose, duck, polish borsch (barszcz czerwony) and stuffed meat.
Fresh flowers, tables covered in embroidered tablecloths, soft light and unobtrusive smooth jazz music create a relaxing atmosphere. After sunset, soothing candle light and romantically lit chandeliers deepen the intimate atmosphere of this place.
Alchemy is more than a restaurant: it’s an invitation to enjoy fine Polish cuisine that draws on tradition served in a contemporary setting. An embassy to the soul of Poland.
On the Tasting Trail menu: a selection of Pierogi dumplings including: mushrooms & sauerkraut, beef and potato & cheese.
